J. Peterson Homes to open construction design studio in downtown Traverse City

TRAVERSE CITY, MI – J. Peterson Homes of Grand Rapids, a respected and experienced custom home builder and renovations services provider, has announced the opening of a construction design studio here.

It will be located at 516 East Front Street, according to Joel Peterson, the owner. An official opening is being planned for next spring.

“We’ve actually done several construction projects recently in the Leland and Frankfort areas and feel the time is right to establish a street-front presence in Traverse City,” said Joel.

The construction design studio will serve as the firm’s education center and will feature displays by Pella Windows, Kohler, and other key vendors.

J. Peterson Homes place a heavy emphasis on solid, creative design, and matching clients with the right team of professionals. “Our approach involves collaboration with architects and interior designers,” explains Joel, “and this alliance helps us deliver the highest quality construction in the industry.”

He noted that his company has already worked with several architects in the region, and is familiar with building codes and municipal regulations.

Current plans are to offer services in six Northwest Michigan counties, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Antrim, Charlevoix and Emmet.

Its Grand Rapids operation also has a real estate division and extensive “tear down/rebuild” business. “But for the time being, we’re going to concentrate on building custom homes in Northwest Michigan,” said Joel.

He and his wife, Kris, have three active teenagers, and in addition to their home in East Grand Rapids, have a vacation cottage in Leland.
